Producer of Tracks Agreement #4 with Label (Royalty/No Song Rights)
This Producer Of Tracks Agreement (Royalty/No Song Rights) is a contract used by producers of music recordings in the hip-hop, rap and pop markets when contracting with a record label. The producer writes the music and creates a recorded track of the music for the singer/ rapper/ vocalist to sing or rap over and may produce the recording of the singer/rapper/vocalist over the musical track the producer recorded. This contract is used if the producer did not contribute to the writing of the song in the event the artist (or other songwriter) wrote both the music and lyrics or if the producer is creating a musical track of a cover song. This agreement sets forth terms whereby the record company hiring producer will own the recording as a work made for hire. The producer will be paid a fee, and a separate royalty from the sale of audio products or exploitations of the musical track but will not receive publishing royalties.
