This Producer Of Tracks Agreement (No Royalty/No Song Rights) is a contract used by producers of music recordings in the hip-hop, rap and pop markets when contracting with a record label. The producer creates a recorded track of music for the singer/ rapper/ vocalist to sing or rap over. This contract is used if the producer did not contribute to the writing of the song in the event the artist (and/or other songwriter) wrote both the music and lyrics or if the producer is creating a musical track of a cover song. This agreement sets forth terms whereby the artist will own the recording as a work made-for-hire and the artist, and/or another songwriter, will own the rights to the song (lyrics and music). he producer is paid a fee for creating the recording but will not receive any separate royalties from the sale of the recording embodying the musical track.
