This Producer Of Tracks Agreement (No Royalty/Song Rights) is a contract used by producers of music recordings in the hip-hop, rap and pop markets when contracting with an artist. The producer writes the music and creates a recorded track of the music for the singer/ rapper/ vocalist to sing or rap over. In this contract the producer is paid a fee for creating the recording and retains publishing rights to the music to the song written by the producer. This agreement sets forth terms whereby the artist hiring producer will own the recording as a work- made-for-hire but the producer will retain the rights to the music to the song they write that is recorded. The producer will be paid a fee and publishing royalties but will not receive a separate royalty from the sale of audio products or exploitations of the musical track.
